Sandugo Festival (July 1)

In veneration of Datu Sikatuna, the Boholanos celebrate the Sandugo Festival. It is held every March but the street dancing happens in July.

This festivals also serves as a mark of what the history holds – the Datu‘s treaty with the king of Spain way back in the past.

One thing peculiar in this event is that it is a commemoration of a blood compact way back in the past. Its celebration ranges from enticing costumes to lively sounds and vibrant decorations that fill the place. Activities in the church are also being held.
