The Angry Birds tops the list of the North American box office.

Over the weekend, The Angry Birds Movie hopped to the top of the list of the North American box office, making the Captain America to the second place according to the estimates of the preliminary industries.

This movie features a popular 3D animated video game with the trio of flightless birds, namely, Red, Chuck and Bomb who dares to take out their anger on the invasion of purple pigs.

On its first weekend the Sony production had an estimated $39 million in the North American theaters. According to industry tracker Exhibitor Relations, the movie had hopped the last week’s box office leader, Captain America: Civil War.

On the other hand, Captain America: Civil War is an action-packed blockbuster with its cast of Marvel heroes ranked last week in another $33.1 million for a cumulative total of $347.4 million recorded just over three weeks in theater.

Additionally, the third place went to the movie, “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising,” starring starring Seth Rogan, Rose Byrne and Zac Efron. The comedy movie has scored $21.8 million its first weekend out

The Nice Guys,” came in fourth on its box office take of $11.3 million starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe.Gosling and Crowe play a private eye and a hired enforcer on the hunt for a missing woman.

Another remake of the Disney animated classic, The Jungle Book, slipped to the fifth place in the is gaining $11 million for a cumulative total of $327.5 million.

To make-up the top 10 were the Money Monster with $7 million, The Darkness on its $2.4 million, “Zootopia” gaining $1.7 million,”The Huntsman: Winter’s War”  with $1.2 million and lastly the “Mother’s Day” with  $1.1 million.
