Sen. Bongbong Marcos Leads Latest Pulse Asia Survey

One of the country’s most prominent senator, Sen. Bongbong Marcos continues to lead in the latest Pulse Asia survey results released earlier which proved that he appears unhurt against the controversial issues thrown at him by his opponents in the Vice Presidential race.

Despite the bashing received by the former governor and Congressman from Ilocos Norte, Sen. Bongbong Marcos continued his lead in the latest nationwide survey as he topped the latest Pulse Asia Vice Presidential Preference survey conducted from April 5 to 10, 2016.

The 58-year-old Sen. Bongbong Marcos got a nationwide rating of 27 percent, due to his solid support coming from Metro Manila, and Luzon particularly in the Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) ABC and D voters.The senator held a four-point lead over former survey front runner Sen. Chiz Escudero who was preferred by 23 percent of the respondents.

Sen. Escudero was in a statistical tie with political newcomer Rep. Leni Robredo who had 21 percent in the recent survey conducted by Pulse Asia and commissioned by ABS-CBN. According to Pulse Asia, they interviewed 4,000 respondents and used a margin of errors of plus-or-minus 1.5 percentage points.

Following the top three were Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano (17 percent from 15 percent), Sen. Gringo Honasan (4 percent, unchanged from the last survey) and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV (3 percent from 5 percent).

Sen. Bongbong Marcos the only son of the late President Ferdinand Marcos was responsible during his tenure as Governor of Ilocos Norte in transforming the province from an unknown place into international acclaim and recognized by the national government as a first-class province in the country.

He was able to showcase the province’s natural and cultural destinations aside from pioneering the wind power technology that serves as an alternative source of energy in Ilocos Norte and other parts of Luzon provinces.
