A passerby just happened to take a photo of a kid who was studying under the light of McDonald’s light. The photo then became viral as netizens abuzz over kid’s determination to continue studying amid challenging life disposition.
Now it has reached McDonald’s administration.
The story of the homeless kid has touched the hearts of the people who saw the viral photo and now the people behind the fast food chain.
Daniel Cabrera was then offered a scholarship grant by the company.
In an ABS-CBN report, Daniel said how he hopes to use the grant to go on to better things dreaming to be a policeman to help the country.
The photo taken and uploaded by Joyce Torrefranca has been shared thousand times and has captured the hearts of the world.
More than the scholarship he just received, Daniel and his family are also receiving supports from private sectors and people with school supplies and finances.
Cristina, his mother, has then expressed her thanks to those who were touched by her kid’s story.
She said her son is committed to his studies despite difficult conditions.
Daniel is in grade school, long yet to achieve his goal but shows persistence and determination which is worth to be emulated.
