The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)warned the Filipino public that a possible tropical cyclone may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) next week. The warning was released by PAGASA on Monday, June 29, 2015.
According to PAGASA a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was already spotted some 1,500 to 2,000 kilometers over the Pacific Ocean. the LPA had a big chance of intensifying into a tropical depression and could possibly enter PAR next week as revealed by weather forecaster Gladys Saludes in an interview with Inquirer.
Aside from the LPA spotted at the Pacific ocean, another LPA which may also develop into a storm, was also spotted some 500 kilometers east of the country.
PAGASA also said that an Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rain and thunderstorms on Monday.
Rains from various parts of the Philippines may trigger flashfloods and landslides, while in the Visayas areas, light to moderate rains will prevail. In the areas of Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains will prevail.
