The 6-year-old Filipino John Phillip Bughaw was invited by no less than one of America’s most prominent talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres to appear on her top-trending show “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” as revealed by an announcement made during Kapamilya Channel’s “It’s Showtime.”
John Phillip Bughaw became the latest internet sensation after his dancing video to the tune of “Bang Bang” went viral last November. The Filipino dancing sensation is scheduled to fly to Los Angeles on May 11 top appear in an episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Aside from being chosen by The Ellen DeGeneres Show as its upcoming guest, the Cavite-born kid was also introduced as one of the “Mini-Me” contestant of the top-rating segment of It’s Showtime which is dedicated to children with celebrity look-alikes.
Right now the viral video of John Philip which was first posted on Facebook has already garnered more than 11 million views.
John Phillip Bughaw joined the ranks of popular Filipino who guested on “Ellen” show. The other Filipino talents who have been featured on the internationally aired program were the following the Gen. Santos-based music duo Aldrich Talonding and James Bucong, dancers AC Bonifacio and Lucky Archeta, singers Rhap Salazar, Zendee Rose Tenerefe, and world-renowned singer Charice.
