Fil-Am Composer Robert Lopez Won at the 2015 Grammy Awards

Filipino-American composer Robert Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson-Loper, the composer of the hit Disney song “Let It Go” were among the big winners at the recently concluded 2015 Grammy Awards. The announcement was relayed by the Fil-Am composer through his official Twitter account.

Robert Lopez and wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez won the Grammy Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Let It Go,” the world-renowned song which was featured in the blockbuster hit “Frozen.”

The lovely couple beat out other songs such as The Lego Movie’s “Everything Is Awesom,” The Hobbit’s “I See Fire,” Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me’s “I’m Not Gonna Miss You,” and Her’s “The Moon Song.”

The Fil-Am composer were already recognized by other Award-giving bodies in the United States for their contribution not only to the music industry but also to the movie industry.

Robert Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez took home last year a pair of Oscars (Academy Awards) for Best Song of the most popular Disney song of all time, “Let It Go.”

The Fil-Am Robert Lopez is also the 12th and youngest person to win an EGOT or an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony Award in a span of 10 years in the entertainment industry.
