US Basketball High School Game Ended with the Final Score at 2-0

A rare occurrence in the United States high school basketball history wherein a game ended with the final score at 2-0. The scoreline was just okay if the game being played is soccer or football but scoring 2-0 in basketball is one of a kind. In the United States even high school games are considered competitive with some High School basketball star making an impact in the NBA.

The high school basketball game happened last weekend when Bibb County defeated Brookwood in a high school basketball game in Alabama. The only basket of the entire game came from 15 seconds after the opening tip with Brandon Rutledge of Bibb Country scored a two points from a 3-point missed shot by his teammate.

Since the first two points was scored the opposing team Brookwood intentionally slowed things down, then Bibb County followed suit with a barrage of missed shots that was also experienced by Brookwood.

The High School basketball matches in the United States is not mandated to have shot clocks installed which are really different compared to the US NCAA and the NBA, which was probably the main reason why the scoreline ended with just 2-0 scorecard.

According to Brookwood coach, slowing down the game allowed rest to his players who were playing their fourth game that week.
