The devote Roman Catholic, Tricia Farnacio noted that the photo taken with Pope Francis was “all worth it,” as she got a chance to took a photo with Pope Francis and posted it on her official Twitter account.
The first selfie of Pope Francis in the Philippines was taken after the Pope’s trip to Leyte on Saturday which was cut short due to the oncoming onslaught of tropical storm Amang (Bagyong Amang), which made a landfall over Dolores Samar a few hours after the pope visited the the province of Leyte.
The Philippine Airlines (PAL) plane carrying Pope Francis landed safely a little past 2:00 PM at the Villamor Airbase, where Tricia Farnacio and other devotees were waiting.
Pope Francis interacted with the crowd at the Villamor Airbase, with Tricia Farnacio lucky enough to snap a group photo with the world’s most popular religious leader.
