China continues to dominate as the top medal earner in the 2014 Asian Games with a whopping 195 medals on the 8th day of the competition held in Incheon, South Korea.
China has earned 96 gold medals, 58 silver medals and 41 bronze medals as of September 28, 2014. Following the line is the Republic of Korea which has surpassed Japan after yielding a total of 117 medals.
Japan on the other hand has gained a total of 113 medals. Placing on the fourth spot is Kazakhstan which has earned a total of 37 medals as of press time.
The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was placed on the fifth spot with 25 medals.
Meanwhile, based upon the report of GMA Network, another Filipino has captured a medal in the prestigious Asian nation’s sports competition. Archer Paul Marton Dela Cruz has coveted a bronze medal in the tournament.
The powerhouse Philippine team is gearing up with 4 medals; 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
Philippine Team garnered two silver medals earlier over the win hailed by Jean Claude Saclag in Men’s Sanda -60kg and Daniel Parantac, Men’s Taijiquan & Taijijian All-Round both in Wushu and bronze medal for Francisco Solis in Men’s Sanda -56kg in the same sports category.
The 2014 Asian Games participated by 45 countries kicked off last September 19, 2014 and it is slated to end on October 4, 2014.
