The country’s largest television network, ABS-CBN, dominated in the nationwide TV ratings for the month of August according to the data gathered by leading research group, Kantar Media.
Kapamilya network registered a total of 43% viewing percentage while its rival networks GMA-7 and TV5 recorded 35% and 9% respectively. ABS-CBN also reign in primetime ratings with 49% viewership with 34% for GMA-7 and 6% for TV5.
Asia’s longest running drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) which is hosted by ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio landed as most viewed Kapamilya show with 28.7% viewing percentage.
“Ikaw Lamang” starring Coco Martin and Kim Chiu which posted 28.4% landed in 2nd spot while “Hawak Kamay” featuring the country’s finest child stars was placed third with 28.1%.
Other Kapamilya shows which are able to clinch on the Top 15 are “Wansapanataym” garnering 26.8% viewing percentage landing on the 4th place which was then followed by TV Patrol (26%), “Rated K” (24.8%), and “Home Sweetie Home” (20.7%).
Bea Alonzo’s top-trending series “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon” landed in the 9th place followed by Pure Love” (19.2%), and “Goin’ Bulilit” (18.7%) which took the 10th and 11th place respectively.
Meanwhile, the recently debuted”Mga Kwento ni Marc Logan” managed to clinch on the rank 14th with 17.6% viewing percentage.
