Darren Espanto Confirmed That He Will Be Staying In The Philippines For Good

Darren Espanto of “The Voice of The Kids” confirmed to his fans that he have decided to stay in the Philippines for good.

On his interview with ABS-CBN News, he said that he won’t be going back to Canada where his family lives and works. Specifically, its in the Calgary, Alberta Canada. He also said that he will be working in showbiz which is full time in his native country. However, his parents will be going back to Canada to work for the meantime.

According to Darren, “Hindi na po [ako babalik sa Canada] kasi po marami din pong mga offers pagkatapos ng finals [ng The Voice Kids]. Sabi po ng mga magulang ko, sila na lang po ang uuwi for the meanwhile para makabalik sa trabaho.”

In addition, most of his relatives are here in the Philippines. So, he did not worry much even if his parents are there in Canada. There would still be people who will take good care of him in his parents behalf.

Darren, did not actually win on the said singing competition. However, the support of his fans are almost enough to make him feel that he is the winner. He was really overwhelmed on the support he have received from his supporters especially in social media.

Some hash tags like “Darren Don’t Leave the Philippines” and “Manalo Matalo Darren Pa Rin Kami” trended in Twitter letting Darren feel that his fans really just want him to stay and pursue his career here in the Philippines.

In fact, there were also some celebrities who have posted their messages for Darren.

Though his soon to be projects are not yet announced, Darren said that he will be busy on their up coming charity concert together with the other “The Voice of the Kids” finalist.

Darren also said that he wants to try acting. He would also love to make a project with his coach, Sarah Geronimo.
