Chatterlie Mae Umalos was declared the winner of the recently concluded grand finals of “Gandang Babae 2014” during the live episode of the show on “It’s Showtime,” on Saturday, July 19,, 2014. The Ilocano beauty queen bested a total of 14 finalists in the competition including the heavy favorite of the show 1st runner-up winner Julee Ann Mae Cabrera.
As the declared winner of the competition, Chatterlie Mae Umalos brought with her the grand cash prize worth P300,000 aside from the title as the reigning “Gandang Babae 2014” winner.
The second runner-up was awarded to one of the most popular candidate, Miss Julee Ann Mae Cabrera who also won the Best in Long Gown and Best in Swimsuit competition.
During the most crucial portion of the competition, the Question and Answer portion, Chatterlie Mae Umalos brilliantly answered the question and impressed the judges with her meaningful yet lengthy answer, that drew huge praises from director Cathy Garcia-Molina, one of the show’s judges.
Meanwhile the second runner-up of the competition, Miss Julee Ann Mae Cabrera, who hails from Quezon, took home a total of P200,000. The third runner-up was awarded to Marikina’s Janriss Jocson with a winning prize worth P100,000, while Erna Mae Panglinawan and Kaycie Lyn Fajardo rounded up the top five of the contest, taking home a consolation prize of P50,000 each.
Special awards were given to Aira Dominique Canlas as Miss Congeniality winner, Dheza Rose Asis won the Best in Talent while Rossette Joyce Tayam was named as Miss Photogenic.
