Filipino-American beauty pageant contestant Miss Audra Mari finished as first runner-up in the recently concluded Miss USA 2014 beauty pageant won by Miss Nevada’s Nia Sanchez. The Fil-Am beauty won previously as Miss North Dakota 2014 and represents her state during the Miss USA 2014 held at the Baton Rouge River Center, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

A total of three Filipino contestants represented their various states in the Miss USA 2014 during the coronation night on Sunday, but only one Fil-Am nabbed a top spot in the United States most popular beauty pageant competition.
Miss Audra Mari’s grandfather is originally from the Philippines particularly in the province of Pangasinan, they came to the United States and became a doctor.
Before Audra Mari joined the prestigious Miss USA beauty pageant, she holds the Miss Teen USA title for first runner-up. Aside from being a consistent beauty pageant contestant, the Fil-Am beauty is also a Dean’s List student while studying public relations at North Dakota State University in Fargo.
The other Filipino-American contestant who represented their respective states in the Miss USA 2014 were Miss New York beauty Candace Kendall and Miss Kansas representative Audrey Banach.
Both Candace Kendall of New York and Audrey Banach of Kansas failed to make it to the Top 20 of the Miss USA 2014. The winner of the Miss USA beauty pageant 2014 will represent the United States in the prestigious Miss Universe 2014 which will be held in an unspecified venue.
