An intensified low pressure area (LPA) outside the country is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday, April 6, 2014 and it will be named Tropical Depression “Domeng.”
According to Pagasa weather forecaster Alvin Pura, tropical depression Domeng was spotted 1,500 kilometers east of southern Mindanao on Saturday morning. The tropical depression is forecast to move with 23 kph west-northwest.
Tropical depression Domeng will be the fourth cyclone to enter the country this 2014. The weather forecaster added that the approaching tropical depression will bring rains among eastern part of Visayas and Mindanao on Monday or Tuesday.
Tropical depression Domeng is expected to landfall on the same day which will surfaced selected areas in Caraga region and Eastern Visayas. Typhoon Yolanda which devastated the Eastern Visayas is still recovering from the typhoon which hit the country last November.

Alvin Pura also added that the rest of the country which include various parts of Metro Manila and other regions will still have isolated rain showers and thunderstorms despite of the warm weather.
Pagasa also recorded the weather range in the country including the hottest weather in Manila with 35.7 degrees Celsius as of March 28, 2014. The Philippines’ weather bureau noted that as of March 31, 2014 Tuguegarao has embarked with the hottest weather range based on the record with 37.9 degrees Celsius.
