The inspiration series “Honesto” focused on the value of honesty for over 4 months and consistently dominated the No. 1 show ranking in the Philippines according to the data gathered by Kantar Media.
Honesto premiered on October 28, 2013 featuring the inspiring story of a young boy on his journey of meeting his real families making the viewers glued to their TV sets during the time slot of Honesto.
During the finale of the show, Governor Hugo portrayed by Joel Torre has finally realized that Honesto (Raikko Mateo) is his grandson. However, during the Governor’s conversation with Diego regarding his grandson, Cleto suddenly showed up with his gun and terrified them, causing commotion until Rosita was killed.
The child wonder Honesto, together with Lourdes were chased by Rolly, and they were captured but Diego followed them and defeated Rolly.
In the last episode of Honesto, the characters who portrayed their respective roles such as Paulo Avelino as Diego Layer, Cristine Reyes as Marie Olivarez, Janice de Belen as Lourdes Galang, Joel Torre as Governor Hugo Layer, Melissa Ricks as Leah Layer, Allan Paule as Rolly Jimenez, Nonie Buencamino as Cleto, Angel Aquino as Mayor Lena Layer, Ms. Gina Pareño as Rosita Layer, and Mr. Eddie Garcia as Brgy. Captain Lemuel Galang joins the crew of the series as they sung the theme song “Pananagutan.”
