Tenorio & Dozier Top Awardees in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup

Ginebra San Miguel point guard LA Tenorio won the Best Player of the Conference award for the very first time in his career, the award made Tenorio made humbled himself. Alaska import on the other hand Rob Dozier became the first recipient of the Bobby Parks Trophy as the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Best Import.

The award was given on Sunday night ahead of the Game 3 Finals between the Gin Kings and the Alaska Aces wherein the Aces won the Commissioner’s Cup Finals.

Ginebra’s court general garnered a total of 1,125 points, beating Alaska’s rookie supertar Calvin Abueva who garnered a total of 861 points. He was followed by JV Casio with a total of 514 points. Talk ‘N Text guard Jayson Castro has 416 points and GlobalPort gunner Gary David with 402 points.

LA Tenorio became the fourth Ginebra player to win the Best Player plum, after Eric Menk, JayJay Helterbrand and Mark Caguioa.

Meanwhile in the Best Import award Alaska Aces’ Dozier garnered a total of 1,233 points, while his closest rival Vernon Macklin has 926 points, San Mig’s Denzel Bowles (644) and TNT’s Tony Mitchell (515).

The Alaska Aces won the PBA Commissioner’s Cup 2013 title defeating the Ginebra Gin Kings with the final score 104-80, in Game 3.
