Former Smart Gilas standout, Japeth Aguilar finally signed a three-year deal with the GlobalPort for an estimated P15.1 Million worth of contract. Japeth was unsuccessful on his journey in the US after he was not chosen for the NBA Development League.
The 26-year-old former Talk ‘N Text player will join the GlobalPort trio composed of Gary David, Willie Miller and Sol Mercado.
Globalport will be presented to the media at Dencio’s in Metrowalk in Pasig City today, February 7, 2013. The Mikee Romero-owned ball club is one of the strong contender in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup 2013.
According to Globalport coach Junel Baculi, they are hopeful that Miller, David and Mercado can co-exist and lead the team to some breakthrough following a poor 1-13 win-loss showing in the Philippine Cup.
