Shenzou 8: China Space Craft

Number of Space Shuttle had been launched over years. Now here comes another spacecraft from China which was declared to have launched successfully, on Tuesday morning November 1, 2011 (China daily time).

An unmanned spacecraft name Shenzou 8 took off successfully from a base in the far western city Jiuquan, the most recent move of the country until it reached its goal to make a permanent space station in orbit with man making its control unto it.

This launch was made by China on its own after the refusal of the attempts to join the 16- nation International Space Station. Most opposition came from the United States.

United States is very cautious of the China’s sharing of their military technologies with the main competitor both on economic and political.

China did not specify their date launch of the space craft scheduled for Shenzou 8  for it is believe that Chinese officer seldom talk to media from overseas. The Shenzou 8 goal is to wharf an experimental module in orbit along with the Tiangong 1 module. This Tiangong 1 was launched just last month with a weight of 8.5 tons.

Now they are planning to launch two other in missions at least one of the ship is manned. This two will be to rally with Shenzou 8 for further run through. The goal for these modules is for further tests before the actual station is put through which is planned to be in the space on 2020-2022. Such Chinese space station is likely to function until 2028 and is about 60 tons, smaller than the International Space Station.

This proves that man’s interest for the development of technology is really on its haste. Like any other countries, China proves such idea as well.
