Prominent boxing trainer and” Pacman’s” coach Freddie Roach had just made a strong statement regarding the next best boxer after Manny Pacquiao. Donnie Nietes, the challenger of the World Boxing Organization Junior Flyweight Champion was considered by Roach as the best boxer.
The pronouncement of Freddie Roach which first appeared on the boxing website philboxing.com was a surprised because of the facts that the next man on Pacquiao’s category was the fellow Filipino pound-for-pound U.S. based boxer Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire.
Donnie Nietes is set to depend his crown on Saturday in Bacolod. He was considered as the best technical fighter according to Freddie Roach.
In an interview with philboxing.com coach have been quoted as saying “That small guy, Donnie Nietes, is a very outstanding technical boxer. He does not have much power but he is good.” said Roach.
Roach further adds that “Donnie Nietes is a technically outstanding fighter who displays a variety of punches that shows that he could adjust during fights inside the ring.” Roach stated.
