Scotland’s Royal Wedding: Zara Philips and Mike Tindall

Mike Tindall and Zara PhilipsAfter the historic royal wedding of the century between Prince William and Kate Middleton of Wales which was witnessed by millions of people across the globe, Royal Wedding fever continues as Zara Philips, the cousin of Prince Harry and England’s rugby player Mike Tindall are to wed in a private ceremony, Saturday.

The said royal wedding will be the first after 20 years in Scotland.

The ceremony which is expected to be attended by prominent names in the royal family and in the field of sports in England is set to take place in Canongate Kirk on the Royal Mile.

Reception of the wedding will be hosted at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The event despite of being private is still expected to be flooded with spectators even if the doors will be closed from press and the public. However, at Edinburgh’s Old Town, people will surely crowd as they are to wait for the coming of the royal family.

To ensure the safety and smooth flow of the ceremony and the surrounding vicinity, Lothian and Border Police join and work together with the Palace and Edinburgh City Council.

To recall, the couple had known each other way back 2003 as they were introduced by Zara’s cousin Prince Harry.

Expected to attend in the wedding are the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and Camilla, newlywed Prince William and Catherine, Prince Harry.

As part of the preparation for the wedding, the couple had attended wedding rehearsal on Friday together with their parents Princess Anne and Captain Mark Philips which was later followed by a pre-wedding party at night held in Britannia- the royal yacht in Scotland.

This wedding event will certainly be watched and monitored by spectators worldwide.
