
The 2011 Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examination was released by the Professional Regulations Commission on May 24, 2011. It was published in major newspapers with nationwide coverage such as the Philippine Daily Inquirer. According to the governing body which was in-charged with the Licensure Examination, there were 2,130 out of 5,259 examinees who had p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed the examination.
The results of the examination was estimated at around 40.50% p(–foul word(s) removed–)ing rate. Exams were held in different major cities across the Philippines. They were administered by PRC. The members of the Board of Accountancy are Atty. Eugene T. Mateo, Chairman; Ma. Elenita B. Cabrera, Vice Chairman; Luis A. Cañete, Dr. Rufo R. Mendoza and Jose S. Tayag, Jr. , Members.
There were four topnotchers coming from the province of Cebu. They were Antonio Dandan Sanchez Jr. from the University of San Jose Recolletos with a p(–foul word(s) removed–)ing grade of 92.00. He was placed second behind Marvin Agamon Baldevia, from St. Pual’s Business School-PALO with a score of 92.14.
The other topnotchers coming from Cebu were Hegiño Javellana Chua Jr. from University of San Carlos with a p(–foul word(s) removed–)ing score of 91.57 landed at fourth place together with Viktor Xenon Oliva from the same school USC with 91.57 grade. Meanwhile another Cebuano landed sixth placed and came from USC also. He was Gilson Ycong Pino with 90.71 grade.
University of San Carlso was one of the top performing schools for this years CPA Board Exam Results with three students landed at the top 10 spot.
