Sample Recommendation Letter For Graduate School

Here’s a Sample Recommendation Letter for someone who wants to apply for graduate school.

SAMPLE RECOMMENDATION LETTER – If you will refer someone who is applying for graduate school, here’s a letter you may use as a guide.

For those who wish to apply for graduate school, a letter of recommendation from your college professor is needed. And your professors are more than willing to do this for students who have excelled within their classes. A sample letter of this is shown below.

To make it easy for them to do this letter for you, you can provide them a copy of your resume, a list of your outstanding academic achievements and grade point average (GPA), a list of your extracurricular or volunteer activities, and among other that you think will be of benefit to your application,

Here are some tips and guidelines on what to include in the letter:

  • Mention how you know the student and the things that he or she possesses that impresses you.
  • Indicate his or her improvement, qualifications, and character by providing brief background information.
  • Be formal, professional, and polite in your letter.
  • Remember to follow the right format of the letter.

Local State University

Dear Mr. Bernadas:

I am a professor at Shy University and I am in absolute pleasure of knowing  Jerry Yanson for the last four years. I highly recommend him as a candidate for graduate school.

As a student, Mr. Yanson has maintained a 2.98 GPA and excelled as the top student of his batch. Other mentors in our department also speak highly of his performance in their classes, as well. He is excellent in written and verbal communication and also very organized, reliable, and computer literate.

In addition, he was also employed to teach fourth-grade students in Spring Montessori. He has accomplished all his tasks with great initiative and with a very positive attitude. I believe he would be a tremendous asset to your program.

If you have any further questions with regard to her background or qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact me at 666-6666. Thank you.

Sincerely,
