CATRIONA GRAY – Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray was spotted crying backstage during the pageant and this was the reason why.
The Miss Universe 2022 pageant has just concluded and the newly-crowned queen is Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel, a half-Pinoy beauty queen.
The other winners of the competition are:
1st Runner-Up: Amanda Dudamel (Venezuela)
2nd Runner-Up: Andreina Martinez (Dominican Republic)
Harnaaz Sandhu of India crowned R’Bonney Gabriel of the United States as Miss Universe 2022. PH bet Celeste Cortesi did not make it to the list of semi-finalists which ended the semi-finals win streak of the country. For 12 years, the PH made it to the semi-finals with two Miss Universe titles.
Previous queens Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray also sent her encouraging words when she ended her journey in the pageant.
“We know you gave it your all, Celeste. We are very proud of you,” says crowned Miss Universe 2015. Gray, on the other hand, commended her for being graceful in dealing with the pressure.
Gray was also among the hosts of this year’s pageant. She is among the backstage commentators and during the pageant, she was spotted wiping her tears. People online speculate that this is because Cortesi not joining the semi-finals but in reality, she cried because of the tribute given to late beauty queen Chelsie Kryst.
She was her former housemate in New York and Cheslie, died last year. She ended her life.
