PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (January 6, 2023)

PAGASA Says Amihan & Shear Line to Bring Cloudy to Rainy Conditions Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that cloudy to rainy weather condition is expected in most parts of the country as LPA exits PAR.

On Friday (January 6, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and shear line will affect the countryā€™s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area has left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR). It will have no direct effect in the country but the shear line will be affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas while amihan will affect the rest of Luzon.

PAGASA

The shear line will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Caraga, and Quezon.

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rainsĀ over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of CALABARZON, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, and Bulacan.

The amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over rest of Luzon. The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over the remaining parts of Mindanao.
