Robbery Suspect Injured After Being Hit by Car in Bacolod City
A robbery suspect was arrested after being chased and hit by a vehicle along a national highway in Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City.
On March 20, 2026, four suspects riding two motorcycles carried out a hold-up earlier that evening in Purok Paho, Bago City. Their victim was a student who was suddenly approached and robbed of a bag and a tablet.
According to police reports, the group quickly escaped after taking the items. However, the suspects did not get far. A relative of the victim learned about what happened and immediately decided to pursue them using a car.

The chase continued from Bago City toward Bacolod, creating a tense situation on the road. During the pursuit, the car managed to catch up with one of the motorcycles and hit it.
The impact caused one of the suspects to fall and suffer minor injuries, leaving him unable to escape with the rest of the group. However, his companions managed to flee and are still being searched for by authorities.
The injured suspect was later found by members of the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company, who were conducting a checkpoint in the area. He was taken into custody and turned over to the Bago police for proper handling.

Authorities were also able to recover the stolen bag and tablet from the suspect, along with a Honda Beat motorcycle believed to have been used in the crime. A robbery case is now being prepared against him.
Police authorities continue to remind the public to report crimes immediately and allow authorities to handle such situations to avoid further danger.
