Authorities arrested a police officer for allegedly threatening his girlfriend to spread its private videos in exchange for his pleasure.
The Philippine National Police Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG) arrested police officer Bulacan. According to the report, the suspect allegedly took a sensitive video of his girlfriend without her knowledge and used the said video to blackmail her.
The suspect was identified as Patrolman Julius Ramos. The PNP-IMEG announced that the victim sought their help against Ramos due to alleged “s3xtortion”.
PNP-IMEG Spokesperson P/Insp. Mary Jean Cuevas said he uses threats for his s3xual favors on the complainant. The complainant became anxious so she came here to the police station to report. Ramos has not yet responded to the allegations.
“Ginagamit niya pong pananakot para sa kaniyang mga sexual favors sa complainant. Naging balisa na ang complainant kaya dumulog siya dito sa ating himpilan,” said Cuevas.
Meanwhile, Ramos will face charges of grave coercion and violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, the Anti-Cybercrime Prevention Act, and the Anti-Photo and Voyeurism Act. Based on the report, apart from the criminal charges we filed, we also filed an administrative case where the punishment may be dismissal from service, said Cuevas.
