Kylie Verzosa Named PH Actress of the Year at 6th Dubai International Arab Festival Awards

KYLIE VERZOSA – Actress and beauty queen Kylie Verzosa was named Philippines actress of the Year at the 6th Dubai International Arab Festival Awards for “The Housemaid.“

Filipino actress, model, and beauty queen Kylie Fausto Verzosa won the titles of Miss International and Binibining Pilipinas International in 2016. She is the sixth Pinay to win the Miss International crown.

Kylie recently starred in “The Housemaid,” a Filipino remake of a Korean film of the same name. She acted alongside other seasoned actors including Albert Martinez.

Kylie Verzosa is set to receive the Philippines Actress of the Year award at the 6th Dubai International Arab Festival Awards (DIAFA) for her performance in ‘The Housemaid.’

It has been confirmed that the former Miss International will attend the red carpet and award ceremony of DIAFA that will happen on November 4 and will be held at Dubai Creek Harbor Marina, United Arab Emirates.

‘The Housemaid’ director Ramon Perez Jr. is one of those who was very happy with Kylie’s success. Based on a report from Pep, Perez said he knew that Kylie was a great actress and would go far.

“I am so happy for Kylie for bagging the best actress award. Sa una pa lang, alam kong mananalo si Kylie ng award, kaso dito sa atin, hindi siya papansinin.

“Even the performance of Jaclyn Jose was great, Kuya Albert Martinez was great, pero hindi pinansin ng local award-giving bodies.

“Natatawa lang ako na noong 2020, e, kami lang ang gumawa ng mga pelikula [para sa Vivamax], pero hindi kami na-nominate sa kahit na anong award-giving body,” he added.

Viva Artists Agency (VAA) congratulated Kylie Verzosa in an IG post on Wednesday. The actress was obviously thrilled by the recognition. She wrote, “Thank you so much to my Viva fam.”
