Video Of Thalia Wearing ‘Marimar’s Original Dress Goes Viral

THALIA – The video of Mexican superstar Thalia donning the original dress of her iconic character Marimar went viral on social media.

Actress, singer, and businesswoman Ariadna Thalía Sodi Miranda Mottola a.k.a. Thalia is one of the most successful Mexican artists. She has millions of fans in the Philippines.

She became popular in the country for portraying the lead in various telenovelas aired on local tvs, like “Maria dela Barrio,” “Marimar,” and “Rosalinda.”

Proving her enduring popularity among Pinoys, all 3 were adapted starring Filipina actresses: “Maria la del Barrio” with Erich Gonzales “Maria Mercedes” with Jessy Mendiola, and “MariMar” with Marian Rivera. Another Thalia series, “Rosalinda,” was also remade locally, starring Kapuso star Carla Abellana.

All of Thalia’s shows left a mark on the hearts of many Filipinos. In 2020, Thalia uploaded a TikTok video of her singing the Tagalog song “Pasumpa-sumpa Ka Pa.”

In a post on her Instagram account last August 1, the Mexican superstar posted a video of herself transforming into her iconic character “Marimar.”

Thalia curled her hair, put in tanning makeup, and wore the original dress from her hit tv series. After dressing up as Marimar, the actress recreated a scene from her 1994 tv series.

Her IG photos showed her running barefoot on the beach, lying on her stomach, and drawing a heart on the sand with her fingers.
