Teacher Dies After Alleged Muriatic Acid Incident Inside Bacolod Home
MURIATIC ACID – Authorities are investigating a disturbing case where muriatic acid was allegedly used in a fatal attack on a teacher.
A teacher in Bacolod City tragically lost his life inside his own home after allegedly being forced to drink muriatic acid by one of his students, according to police authorities.
Based on information obtained by K5 News FM Bacolod from Police Captain Jay-R Reyes, Officer-in-Charge of Police Station 7, the victim had invited the student to his residence. The teacher reportedly asked the student to join him for drinks.
Police said that while both individuals were already under the influence of alcohol, they allegedly planned what authorities described as an “exciting moment.” As events unfolded, the student reportedly tied up the teacher inside the house.
Captain Reyes further revealed that the two eventually had a disagreement that escalated into violence. The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim during the confrontation.
Authorities said the situation took a deadly turn when the suspect allegedly forced the teacher to drink muriatic acid. The chemical caused fatal injuries, leading to the victim’s death inside the residence.
Following the incident, the suspect reportedly attempted to flee the scene. However, he was unable to escape because he did not know how to unlock the property’s gate.
Investigators said the suspect searched for a way out of the house but failed to leave before law enforcement officers arrived at the scene. Upon entering the residence, responding police officers discovered the suspect hiding underneath a table.
The suspect was immediately arrested and is now under police custody while authorities continue their investigation into the case.
Police have yet to release additional details regarding the identities of those involved as well as the possible motives behind the crime. Authorities are expected to conduct further investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
The shocking case has drawn attention in Bacolod City as residents await more information from investigators regarding one of the area’s most disturbing crimes in recent days.
