The 12-year-old singing wonder from Calgary, Alberta in Canada made an astounding performance during the finale of the most-talked about singing competition in the country. Darren Espanto is under the team of PopStar Princess Sarah Geronimo.
“Darren forte mo ito eh. Hinog na hinog ka na. Para kang pinaghalong Sir Gary V. at Martin Nievera,” Sarah Geronimo said.
Darren Espanto is battling out against his fellow grand finalists; Darlene Vibares of Team Lea, Juan Karlos Labajo of Team Bamboo and Lyca Gairanod of Team Sarah.
Earlier, Darren Espanto garnered a standing ovation after he made a soulful rendition of the song “Ngayon.”
The first-ever winner of the Philippine edition of The Voice Kids will be revealed on Sunday, July 27, 2014. The singer who will get dominate on public votes (online and text votes) will be declared as the champion.
The winner of The Voice Kids Philippines will receive whooping P1 million cash, one-year recording contract courtesy of MCA Universal, home appliance showcase, house and lot, musical instrument showcase and P1 million worth of trustfund.
