Apple David Fires Back at Critics Over Relationship W/ Younger Boyfriend
APPLE DAVID – After weeks of social media discussions and criticism, Apple David is setting the record straight about her romance with 18-year-old Chad Gammad.
Sports reporter Apple David has firmly addressed the criticism surrounding her relationship with 18-year-old basketball player Chad Gammad, following intense discussions among netizens online.
The issue recently became a hot topic after Apple, 33, publicly shared moments from her relationship with Chad on social media. Their age gap quickly caught the attention of internet users, with some raising concerns and even accusing the courtside reporter of grooming her younger boyfriend.
During a TikTok livestream, Apple directly responded to the allegations and denied that there was any inappropriate behavior involved in their relationship.
“Hindi ko siya ginu-groom. Wala sa qualifications—’yung nangyayari sa amin, malayong-malayo sa grooming,” said Apple.
Despite the criticism, she appeared unfazed by the accusations and maintained her stance.
“Pero kung gusto niyong ipilit, go. Story niyo ‘yan,” she added.
Apple also expressed openness to any formal investigation if people genuinely believed there was wrongdoing. According to her, such a process could help clear up misconceptions and provide clarity to the public.
“Kung sa tingin niyo ‘yun ‘yung case na nangyayari, bakit hindi niyo ireklamo at ipaimbestiga? Okay din sa akin ‘yun para ma-clarify na walang gano’n,” she said.
Aside from the grooming issue, the couple’s age difference also became a subject of discussion during the livestream. One netizen jokingly suggested that the two might call each other “mhie” and “anak” because of their age gap.
However, Apple revealed that she was not offended by the remark and even shared the affectionate nickname they use for each other.
“Hindi ako maoo-offend d’yan kasi baby ang tawagan namin,” Apple said.
“Nagagalit pa siya ‘pag tinawag ko siyang Chad,” said the courtside reporter.
Apple further revealed that their term of endearment remains the same even when they are around Chad’s coaches and teammates.
“Call sign naman baby. Even in public, kahit nandyan pa ‘yung coaches and teammates niya,” she said.
Recently, Apple shared a video on her social media pages showing sweet and affectionate moments between her and Chad, giving followers a glimpse into their relationship amid the ongoing public discussion.
