Malacañang Getting Ready for Transition to New Administration
MALACAÑANG – The Palace started building a transition team for the new administration as the term of the current admin is about to end.
The voting for the Elections 2022 took place last May 9. Millions of Filipinos went out to vote in the local and national polls. Several days prior to the election day, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) made an online portal where voters can check for their voting precincts available on their website.
It was an automated election. A few hours after most of the voting precincts closed last May 9, partial and unofficial results were made available and reported by several media networks. Malacañang previously released a statement recognizing the smooth election.
During the election, several voting machines encountered problems. While he does not believe there was cheating during the election, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wants the glitches to be investigated to clear the people’s doubts regarding the election.
Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer and former Senator Bongbong Marcos is taking the lead in the partial and unofficial results of the presidential election. He has over 16 million lead.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Malacañang built a transition team for the entry of a new administration as the Duterte administration will end its term on June 30. The following are the members of the transition team:
