Sharon Cuneta had her moment during the May 7 Kakampink rally
Megastar Sharon Cuneta shared her message for UniTeam tandem Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte, as well as to Senate President Tito Sotto during a campaign rally of the Leni-Kiko tandem last May 7, Saturday.
It would be recalled that during the Kakampink rally in Laguna, Sharon reminisced the friendship that she has with BBM and Inday Sara. Her family was apparently close to the Marcoses. Former President Ferdinand Marcos even volunteered to be a “ninong” in her previous wedding with Gabby Concepcion.
Sharon also admitted that she is indeed close to President Rodrigo Duterte who she considered a “tatay” and Inday Sara is a self-confessed Sharonian. However, this election season, the Megastar went on a different path from the politicians she considered friends and family, including the husband of her aunt Helen Gamboa.
It is because her husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan is running for vice president, the same position that Sara Duterte and Tito Sotto are aspiring to have. Based on the article in PEP, Sharon Cuneta spoke before the Kakampinks during the rally in Makati City.
She shared her message for the UniTeam tandem and for her uncle. “This is for Bong. Bong, you don’t have to agree or like what you’ve done or what you have not done for me to always remember your kindness towards me when I was growing up, as well as your whole family,” the actress-singer said.
She also wished BBM, his wife Liza and their boys to have “God’s blessings” and hoped that after all of these, they will have a chance to gather together.
When it comes to the Davao City Mayor, Sharon said, “I also want to say to Sara, Inday, nagkakaintindihan tayo, kahit wala na si Tatay [Pablo Cuneta] sa aking buhay, never kang nawala. Alam ko kasi hindi ka lang Sharonian, pero mahal kita kaya lang, ang bise-presidente ko talaga si Kiko. Nagkakaintindihan naman tayo.”
Sharon Cuneta became emotional when she shared her message for Sen. Tito Sotto. “Most of all, to my second father, Senate President Tito Sotto, Daddy, thank you for embracing me when I saw you. Thank you for saying, ‘I love you’ back. I love you very much, Dad, but this has been… I hope it doesn’t divide our family, our families,” the Megastar said.
Sharon also expressed love for her Mama Helen and her cousins, Ciara, Apple and Lala Sotto, who she considers as her sisters.
