Sharon Cuneta mentioned UniTeam’s candidates during a Kakampink rally
Megastar Sharon Cuneta talked about the friendship that she has with UniTeam presidential candidate former Senator Bongbong Marcos and vice-presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
Sharon’s husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan is running for vice president, the running mate of Vice President Leni Robredo. The actress-singer has been very active in joining the Kakampink campaign rallies in various provinces.
Based on the article in Bandera, during a recent rally in Laguna, as Sharon Cuneta was giving her speech to the supporters of the Leni-Kiko tandem, she mentioned the candidates from the rival team.
She shared that she and Bongbong Marcos shared a friendship with each other back when the Marcoses were having a tough time. “Among the Marcos children, I would consider Bongbong the closest I had become to. Si BBM hindi ko iniwan. Hindi ko siya iniwan that whole time,” the Megastar said.
On the other hand, she said that it does not mean that she agreed with what she knew because she knew the family personally. “Hindi naman ganoong ka-close. Pero kilala ko sila. I did not leave Bongbong during all those years after People Power. He was my friend,” Sharon added.
Then, the singer-actress also mentioned Mayor Sara Duterte. Sharon shared that she met the presidential daughter when she was nine. Mayor Sara has been a Sharonian since she was that young. “And Sara has been like my sister. Sara is my friend. She was like my sister. I hope after elections, I hope we can still be friends,” Sharon Cuneta said.
In her speech, she also mentioned that she has considered President Rodrigo Duterte as a father. However, she was shocked when she saw the video of the controversial statement of the Chief Executive.
“When Tatay…once I saw on YouTube, he said who is this stupid God? Para akong binuhusan ng kumukulong tubig at meyelong tubig nang sabay. Kasi kapag Diyos na ang kinalaban mo, sino pa ang Diyos mo?” the Megastar said.
