NBI Agents Arrest Medical Student Arrested After Selling Oil Extracted From Illegal Drugs
The police authorities arrest a medical student after selling oil, which was extracted from illegal drugs online.
Nowadays, the proliferation of illegal drugs has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various countries all around the world. It causes a surge in the rate of criminality in the country.
The Philippine government and the police authorities have been imposing stricter policy to eradicate illegal drugs in the country but there are still some individuals who were making new strategies to proliferate illegal substances.
The National Bureau of Investigation special action unit arrested a male citizen who pretended as a doctor. The authorities discovered that the suspect was not a doctor but a medical student selling cannabis oil.
NBI agents recovered several bottles containing cannabis oil from the drug suspect identified as Arvie Maldo. Several packs of syringe has been also seized from the suspect. 1 ml of the illegal substance is worth P1, 400.
However, Maldo denied the allegations and explained that he was just instructed to deliver the item to the customer. Arvie claimed that the supplier ordered him to deliver the oil to cancer patients.
Maldo explained that it was his first time to commit such act due to curiosity. He also claimed that NBI agents did not found any illegal drugs from him aside from the oil in bottles. He just wanted to meet the patient.
NBI refused to listen to Maldo’s statement because he fearlessly advertise the products online and even makes tutorial on how to use it.
The suspect will face charges for violaton of the comprehensive dangerous drugs act and falsification of documents. The authorities will continue to investigate the incident to locate Maldo’s supplier.
