Dawn Chang aired her disappointment
Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Dawn Chang contradicted the political views of actress-host Toni Gonzaga.
Dawn is a known supporter of Vice President Leni Robredo while Toni is supporting the presidential candidacy of former Senator Bongbong Marcos. After the proclamation rally of the BBM-Sara Duterte tandem that was hosted by Toni, she released a statement saying that she is stepping down as the main host of the Kapamilya reality show.
Amid this issue, Toni has been receiving bashing. One of the celebrities who criticized her is Dawn Chang. In a recent Instagram post of the former PBB housemate, she specifically mentioned the name of Toni Gonzaga.
“I am deeply insulted and disappointed by the actions of my fellow kapamilya actress Ms. Toni Gonzaga. Paano nyo po nasikmurang suportahan at tulungan ang mga taong may malupit na nakaraan sa kasaysayan ng bansa at sa pagkawala ng trabaho ng mga kasama natin sa industriya?” Dawn said.
It is because, Toni enthusiastically introduced Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, who voted against ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal, during the proclamation rally. “As a former PBB housemate, alam kong magtatampo nyan si Kuya,” Dawn added.
She also said that she can’t bear to be silent anymore. With this, she expressed her support for Vice President Leni Robredo. “Hindi po ako binayaran dito,” Dawn said.
The former PBB housemate also said that if this is the biggest battle that she will fight, she is ready just to see a better Philippines. “I will forever fight the good fight with all of my true kapamilyas and the Filipino people,” Dawn Chang stressed.
She also used the hashtag associated with the campaign for VP Leni’s presidential candidacy “Angat Buhay Lahay”. Supporters of the Vice President thanked Dawn for voicing her thoughts about this and for showing support for the Kakampinks.
