Jimmy Bondoc Reacts To Bashing Against Toni Gonzaga

Singer Jimmy Bondoc, who is also a PAGCOR board member, reacted to the bashing that actress-host Toni Gonzaga has recently received.

Jimmy has been vocal about his political views. He is a known supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte and he would share his thoughts on certain issues through his social media platforms.

In one of his recent Facebook posts, he talked about the recent bashing that Toni received. Many netizens criticized the actress-host for hosting the proclamation rally of UniTeam of former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Toni is being accused of “walang utang na loob” to her home network, ABS-CBN, for the enthusiastic introduction that she did for senatorial aspirant Rodante Marcoleta, one of the lawmakers who voted against the renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise. Many Kapamilya supporters also said that she should resign out of “delicadeza”.

Talking about Toni Gonzaga, Jimmy Bondoc recalled the time during the first year of pandemic in the Philippines. “Nabalitaan ko lang na si Toni Gonzaga, noong unang taon ng pandemya, ay ibinigay ang kanyang buong TALENT FEE sa mga displaced workers ng network,” Jimmy said.

However, the singer said that people are now accusing Toni of being ungrateful. “My post is not about politics. Not even about Toni, who is a wonderful lady. This post is about the world, and how good things are easily forgotten,” he stressed.

For Jimmy Bondoc, this does not matter anyway because “in the end, it is between you and your God.” He added in jest, “By the way, sobrang pogi ko today. Ewan ko kung bakit.” In his previous posts, Jimmy expressed that he has not chosen yet who he will vote for president in the 2022 elections.
