Couple Who Steal Cash From Convenience Store Arrest by Police Authorities
The police authorities arrest a couple who is responsible for stealing cash from a popular convenience store in San Pablo City, Laguna.
The Facebook page “Laguna Police Provincial Office” has shared the photos of a couple who has been arrested for stealing valuables from a popular convenience store. The post garnered various reactions online.
Police Colonel ROGARTH B CAMPO identified the suspects as 25-year-old Ranther Cayabyab Medrano and 23-year-old April Joy Arevalo Abaquita of Barangay VI-E, San Pablo City, Laguna. Medrano is an online moderator.
The San Pablo City Police Station (CPS) police chief PLTCOL GARY C ALEGRE reported that the incident happened last January 19, 2022 around 8:30 am. The duo break into a Seven Eleven (7-11) convenience store in Barangay Del Remedio, San Pablo City, Laguna.
The suspects tied the victim’s hand and brought it to the backroom. The two even threatened the victim and tied him with a pink lace. Medrano took the store’s income worth P 99,940.00 from the store manager named Marisa Tolentino Capilit.
The duo attempted to escape from the vicinity after performing their illegal activity but Tigbao was able to flee and sought help from the bystanders. The suspects were trapped inside the store after the bystanders responded.
Barangay Del Remedio watchman immediately respond to the crime and reported the incident to San Pablo CPS.
Luckily, the police officers were able to recover the stolen from the suspects and return it to the store. Campo also expressed his gratitude towards the civilians who helped to arrest the suspects.
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa force multipliers at onlookers sa kanilang malasakit sa ating mga kababayan at patuloy na tiwala at suporta sa kapulisan upang mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa ating lugar.” Campo said.
