Bailey May Names Pokwang as His Dream Leading Lady

BAILEY MAY – A possible on-screen pairing between Bailey May and Pokwang has caught attention after the actor enthusiastically expressed his interest in working with the comedienne.

Actor-singer Bailey May has named veteran comedienne Pokwang as his dream leading lady, expressing interest in working with the actress if given the opportunity under his new home network, GMA Network.

Bailey, who recently joined Sparkle GMA Artist Center, is looking forward to exploring new projects following his transfer to the Kapuso network. He first rose to fame as the fourth Teen Big Placer of “Pinoy Big Brother: 737” in 2015.

Now 24, the actor-singer is ready to take on different roles and showcase his growth as an entertainer. During his guest appearance on the Kapuso morning program “Unang Hirit,” Bailey was asked about the types of projects he hopes to try with GMA.

“Action, comedy, horror,” he answered, revealing his interest in exploring various genres.

When asked who he would like to have as his leading lady in an upcoming project, Bailey quickly gave a surprising but enthusiastic response.

“Pokwang. Why not?”

His answer sparked curiosity about the possibility of pairing the young actor with the veteran comedienne in a future production. Such a collaboration could open the door to a May-December romance-themed project, although it remains to be seen whether Pokwang would be interested in taking on that kind of role alongside Bailey.

Meanwhile, Bailey also reflected on his experience as a member of the international pop group Now United, which allowed him to learn from professionals in the entertainment industry.

“Another blessing for me in my life. I got to learn from the best choreographers, producers, so I learned so much, and I’m able to put what I learned here in GMA,” he shared.

Bailey also expressed his excitement about joining Sparkle, revealing that working with GMA had been something he had wondered about since childhood.

“I’m so excited po kasi kahit noong bata pa ako, I’ve always been curious, like, how would it be to be in GMA? And ngayon na nasa GMA na ako, sobrang excited ako. Wish granted, ‘di ba?”

Looking back on his journey since his “PBB” days, Bailey acknowledged how his experiences have shaped him into a more mature person.

“Marami pong pinagdaanan, maraming experiences. So now, I think I’m wiser. Hindi na ako as makulit. I’m more of a man now,” he said.

With his move to GMA, Bailey is ready to embrace new opportunities and demonstrate the lessons he has learned throughout his career.
