Family Driver Got Arrested After Stealing P1 Million & Vehicle From Employer

The authorities have arrested a family driver in Cavite for stealing P1 million and the vehicle of his employer.

A 41-year-old driver identified as Roy Pader has been arrested by the authorities for stealing cash and car from his employer. He has been traced after posting the stolen money on his social media account.

According to PNP CIDG, the suspect posted the stolen cash, photos in nightclub and escorts inside a motel room on its Facebook account. The suspect explained that he is just helping the girls.

“Bawat ulo po nagbigay lang ako ng tig-P4, 000, apat po yung huli kong kasama. Pambibili lang ng gatas at diaper ng anak nila,” Pader said.

Cavite CIDG Police Major Adrian Cayabyab found out that Pader has been working for the victim for seven months. He is working as a trustee and driver for his employer but takes advantage of his position.

“Nung nakahawak siya ng hefty sum of money na ganong kalaki, ginrab niya yung opportunity na iyon para itakbo ang pera. Akala niya hindi siya mahuhuli,” Cayabuab said.

The cops arrested the suspect at a motel. The authorities recovered .35 caliber and the stolen van. The suspect explained that he committed the crime due to financial necessities.

He is working 24 hours a day but just receiving P4, 000 per week. He also expressed his regret for committing the crime. The victim refused to give a statement regarding the incident.

According to the police, over 1,281 carnapping incidents have been recorded since January to September 2021. 135 motorcycles and 1, 146 four-wheel vehicles have been stolen.
