Linconn Ong Viral For His “Elementary” Excuse Letter For Senate Hearing
LINCONN ONG VIRAL – Pharmally top executive, Linconn Ong went viral for his “excuse letter” presented to Senators.
As the Senate blue ribbon committee probe into Pharmally continues, Linconn Ong said he could not continue cooperating. Senators are probing Ong and several other executives for alleged anomalies in Pharmally’s P8 billion deal with the government.
Furthermore, the lawmakers also investigated the “expired” medical supplies procured by the firm for the Department of Health. However, since the beginning of the investigation, Ong and his camp were reluctant to join the probing.
Initially, Ong said he could not physically attend the hearing due to testing positive for COVID-19. But now, Ong emphasized that he would not be cooperating at all with the investigation.
In his “excuse letter” which he wrote on a page from a calendar planner dated December 2021, Ong wrote:
“To the honorable Blue Ribbon Committee:
I regret to inform you that acting upon the advice of counsel, I’m declining your kind invitation for me to participate in the executive session regarding the matter under investigation”
However, netizens quickly poked fun at Ong and compared his letter to that of an elementary student.
