Here is the reaction of Bongbong Marcos to the hate comments against Toni Gonzaga
Former Senator Bongbong Marcos reacted to the bashing that actress-host Toni Gonzaga received due to her viral Toni Talks interview.
Toni recently featured BBM on her YouTube channel after interviewing several prominent politicians in the Philippines. However, the one that featured the son of former President Ferdinand Marcos went controversial. The actress-host is now being accused of altering the history and promoting a good image for the Marcoses.
In a recent interview on journalist Erwin Tulfo’s YouTube channel, Bongbong Marcos was asked to react to the viral interview. He said that perhaps as the political arena is heating up for the 2022 elections, heated arguments are also starting to take place.
However, the politician said that he is wondering why the hate is being addressed to Toni Gonzaga. BBM stressed that it is fine with him if people would throw hate comments at him as the actress-host was just doing her job as a vlogger.
On the other hand, the politician said that there is a silver lining to this incident. He said that many people even showed support for Toni when there were those who said that they will “cancel” her.
“Babatikusin nila yan basta Marcos ang nagsabi. Yung iba diyan, yan ang trabaho nila eh,” he said. BBM also commended the way how Toni does her interview which according to him, is better than what some journalists are doing.
Bongbong Marcos also said that there is nothing wrong if critics will air their objection but what they are doing is attacking the personal side. You cannot dictate to her kung ano ang content ng channel niya, eh, channel niya yan,” he added.
The politician also stressed that there is nothing useful in “peddling hate”. “Do not let your hate overwhelmed your humanity,” BBM said and he encouraged unity amid the crisis.
On the accusation that Toni Gonzaga was changing history, Bongbong Marcos said that what he shared during the interview was his own personal experience with his father and no one can tell him that it is otherwise, even his mother or his siblings.
