6 Passengers Found sing Fake RT-PCR Test Results in Baguio Arrested
Local authorities of Baguio arrested six (6) of twelve (12) passengers traveling after caught using fake RT-PCR test results.
When six people, including the driver, in a private vehicle attempted to enter the quarantine checkpoint on Marcos Highway, police apprehended them. They allegedly provide a fake Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test, according to the report.
Eleven people in a private Nissan van with license plate NAM-8925, driven by Andrew Anthony Manoloto, traveled to the city for TESDA evaluation as part of their application to travel abroad. The vehicle was flagged down at 11 a.m., according to Capt. Juan Carlos Recluta, chief of the Baguio City Police Office Station 10 on Marcos Highway.
Passengers were required to provide identification proving their status as APORs (authorized persons outside the residence), the only non-residents permitted to enter the city. They were hesitant, however, to submit the needed documentation.

The document was questioned by the authorities at the checkpoint, according to Recluta. As a result, they drove the van to the Baguio Convention Center’s central triage, where documents were rigorously checked.
Six of the twelve RT-PCR results obtained from the passengers were found to be suspect. The six people who had suspicious RT-PCR and antigen test results were subjected to duty nurse Kathleen Mae Pagadut Copes. COVID-19 was found in one of them.
Following an investigation, the six revealed that they couldn’t pay antigen or RT-PCR tests. As a result, it prompts them to seek the help of a forger in “Recto,” where they received a forged medical certificate.
The suspects face charges for falsification of documents. They will also be charged for violating of Republic Act 11332, “an act providing policies and prescribing procedures on surveillance and response to notifiable diseases, epidemic and health events of public health concern.”
Police identified those who submitted fake RT-PCR results as James Balides Naing, 21, of B3, L2, Kamagong St., Commonwealth, Quezon City; Princess Lawigan Bernarte, 24, of B7, L11, PH 2, Sec 12 Pabahay, San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan; Evelyn Barcelona Codilla, 30, of Commonwealth, Malaybay City, Bukidnon; Mylene Pagobo Eran, 31, of A-3 Bagong Silang Cavite; Josephine Abne Ogoc, 38, of Zamboanga City, and Milky Chill Candaza, 31.
