Beauty queen Celeste Cortesi is entering a new chapter in her life, and here’s her story upon knowing she’s expecting a baby boy.
Previously, beauty queen-businesswoman Celeste Cortesi was sentimental as she announced that she is going to have a baby boy. The Miss Universe Philippines 2022 titleholder recently made the announcement on her social media, and many were happy and excited for her as she is bound for motherhood in this chapter of her life.
“Sergio, my little piece from heaven,” she wrote in the caption, which apparently indicates her son’s name, and added, “A love that never left, just came back in a new way… I still can’t believe you’ll be born the same month as my dad, I love you forever.”
Cortesi, 28, opened up about this in the new podcast of her fellow beauty queen Kylie Verzosa. She expressed her thoughts about finding out that she was pregnant and later on was surprised that she was expecting a baby boy.
“I was in the Maldives and honestly, I just felt weird. Honestly, I was always, especially the last year, ready to have a baby. I wanted to. We were ready that if it happens, I will be happy. I always wanted to be a young mom before 30. I was like live it to God if it happens. I want to be a mom, but that specific period of my life, I thought, it’s impossible,” Celeste shared.
She then started noticing changes in her body and emotions, which were mostly unusual, and that was what prompted her to have a checkup. She was in the Maldives when she found out she was pregnant, and the discovery ultimately explained all the changes she had been experiencing.
Celeste first shared the news with her longtime best friend, who was with her on the trip, before telling her partner and eventually her family. Her family was surprised, but the emotion was, later on, replaced with excitement.
As for her son, she named him Sergio after her dad. She said, “It’s a boy and it’s crazy because the baby will be born the same month as my dad. It’s October. His name is going to be Sergio just like my dad.”
