Laboratory Staff Allegedly Offering Negative COVID-19 Test, No Appearance for P1k
Authorities are now looking for a laboratory staff who allegedly offers negative COVID-19 test results without the client’s appearance for P1,000.
The investigation began after reports surfaced of people selling forged RT-PCR test results to meet travel restrictions. A supposed employee from a respectable laboratory alleged offered fast negative RT-PCR results, according to a netizen.
The staff also offers the client a no-show or no-swabbing option. “Elma” said she inquired about RT-PCR home service in a laboratory’s social media post when an alleged employee messaged her personally.

Elma claimed that the employee inquired if she wanted to do swab testing or just receive fast negative findings. She then inquired about the possibility of a fraud, but the staffer assured her that the findings were obtained straight from the clinic and were already stored in the system.
Based on the report, Elma was even told by the employee that she has already assisted several others with their travel needs. It costs P1,000 to get a non-appearance negative result.
Elma reported the event to the Department of Health, but the employee’s Facebook account had already been deactivated. Meanwhile, Hero Laboratories denied that the suspect was a worker with the company.
The assertions that he is connected to the Hero Laboratories office, according to management, are false, and their certifications have security elements that were not duplicated in the posts. Gian Cauton, the operations manager at Hero Laboratories, claimed the company has already communicated with the National Bureau of Investigation on the problem.
