Former Pres. Noynoy Aquino’s Burial Set To Take Place Today, June 26
NOYNOY AQUINO’S BURIAL – Here are the details on the funeral of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III today, June 26, 2021.
The Philippines is currently on a period of mourning for the death of one of its former leaders, former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. At the age of 61 years old, the former Chief Executive peacefully joined the Creator last June 24, 2021.
The death of former Pres. Aquino is a shock to a lot of people. Most people were not aware of what he’s going through in the past several months. He has been out from the public’s eye since he stepped down from office in 2016. According to his family, he was in and out of the hospital even before the pandemic began.
Last June 24, former Pres. Noynoy Aquino was fetched by an ambulance from his house at Timestreet in Quezon City. He was rushed to Capitol Medical Center. Sadly, he was declared dead at 6:30 in the morning.
The former President “peacefully died in his sleep” as to his family and those who were taking care of him. He was in the same position in his reclining chair when his aid left him the night before he was found unconscious in the morning. His family, friends, and supporters rushed to the hospital upon hearing about the news.

On the same day he died, the body of the former President was cremated. His family wanted to give him so much more but they also respect the situation in the country now amid the pandemic. He is supposedly entitled of a burial rights at Malacanang palace.
Today, former Pres. Noynoy Aquino’s burial is set to take place. He will be laid to rest next to his parents, the late former Sen. Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Sr. and former Pres. Corazon “Cory” Aquino, at the Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Parañaque City.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, former Pres. Noynoy Aquino’s burial or inurnment will start at the Church of the Gesu at the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City. A funeral mass presided by Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas and other priests will be held at 10:00 in the morning.
After the mass, the funeral convoy will proceed to the memorial park in Parañaque passing through C5 and the South Luzon Expressway. According to the report, the public is allowed to pay respect to the former President beginning 3:00 p.m. His family reminded those who wants to pay respect to him along the route of the funeral convoy to observe proper health protocols.
Messages of love, comfort, and sympathy outpoured for the Aquino family. His sisters are vocal about their gratitude to everyone who loved, supported, and helped their late only brother.
