Sad Guy Wants to Go Home Before Dad Forgets Him Due to Dementia But He Is Prohibited to Cross Borders
A sad guy is hoping to cross borders to spend time with his beloved family before his father forget him due to dementia.
Over a year ago, the coronavirus disease rapidly spread in different regions all around the world and affect millions of people worldwide. The virus even took thousands of lives and affect the global economy.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced borders to close and government to implement stricter rules and regulations to prevent the spread of the virus. It also causes many people to stay away from their families.
A Twitter user named Kael (@KaelSansSouci) expressed his desire to cross borders and return home amid the government’s travel restrictions. His post garnered various reactions from the netizens.
Kael is working in Penang, Malaysia while his family are in Selangor, which is hundreds of kilometers away from his location. He wanted to spend time with his father with dementia before he forgets him.
The guy’s dad is suffering from FTD (Fronto-Temporal Dementia) for already three years and its condition is rapidly deteriorating. The man’s sister said that their father’s condition severely affects its cognitive ability.

The sad guy is afraid that his father might forget him by the time he finally crosses the border since the pandemic forced him to stay away from his family.
“As the only son in the family, I can’t help but feel helpless when my mother and sisters have to take care of him, I honestly just want to celebrate Raya with my father before he forgets me,” Kael said.
