PAGASA: Fair Weather in Luzon & Visayas, ITCZ to Bring Cloudy Condition in Mindanao

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (May 7)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Luzon and Visayas would have a fair weather condition but ITCZ would bring cloudy skies in Mindanao.

On Friday (May 7, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The ITCZ and easterlies would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA said that generally fair weather is expected in Luzon and the Visayas due to the easterlies but the localized thunderstorms may bring isolated rain showersin the eastern section.

The weather agency said that the easterlies would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms over the entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

The intertropical convergence zone would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the region of Mindanao. Metro Manila and the rest of the country would experience the same weather condition.

PAGASA also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as the remaining parts of the archipelago would be slight to moderate.
