Ogie Diaz speaks about how John Lloyd Cruz and Ellen Adarna got closer before.
JOHN LLOYD CRUZ – Comedian and showbiz reporter, Ogie Diaz reveals what he did that got John Lloyd Cruz and Ellen Adarna to be closer together before.
Currently in a co-parenting setup are former couple and Kapamilya stars Ellen Adarna and John Lloyd Cruz for their son Elias Modesto. The child stays with the actress and the actor would accordingly just pick him at her house and also return him there. In a previous article, Ellen described the actor as a “present father” for Elias.
To recall, Ellen and John Lloyd left the limelight in 2017 and Ellen gave birth to Elias in 2018. But in 2019, there were rumors about their split and in 2020, she confirmed this and revealed their set-up as parents to Elias. In 2021, the actress found a new love with Derek Ramsay who is now her future husband. He grew closer to Elias and even spoke about John Lloyd being a good father.
With their growing relationship before, Ellen and Lloydie’s former “Home Sweetie Home” co-star Ogie Diaz revealed something about his “mistake” about. Accordingly, he was the one who initiated the move to tease them to each other as per a report from PEP.
“Kasi sa Home Sweetie Home, tinanong ko si JL, 30-plus na siya kasi… ‘Wala ka pang anak,’ sabi ko. Sabi niya, ‘Oo nga, e. Yung mommy ko nga sabi niya bago man lang siya mawala sa mundo, sana makita niya yung apo niya sa akin.’ Sabi ko, ‘O, uso naman ngayon di kasal, e,'” he narrated.
At that time, Ellen was beside him that when asked, she answered that she also wanted a child even without a father. He added, “Bumaling ako kay John Lloyd. ‘Oy, Lloydie! Si Elena pala gusto magkaanak kahit walang asawa.’ Ayun na. Kaya nung nag-taping kami sa Baguio, hala, sobrang sweet na nung dalawa. Ayun na. The rest is history.”
However, he believes that it was not entirely because of him that they got together for real and those things happened. He just gave them an idea and it must be really their fate to be together and for those incidents to happen.
